In our article on Trait Profiles and portraits we presented three anonymized cases: Case A, "The Leader"; Case B, "The Artist"; and Case C, "The Strategist". In October 2025 we revealed each one in a separate post. This page brings the three together, keeps the chart signals the Trait Profile returned, and sets each one beside documented, public facts.

How the Trait Profile reads a chart
The Trait Profile applies Jean-Baptiste Morin’s determinations with a strict priority:
- Location first: which house a planet occupies (for example, the ruler of the 1st in the 10th points to identity expressed through career).
- Rulership second: which houses that planet rules, linking life areas together.
- Aspects third: how the planet is configured, and whether it is supported or afflicted.
Each placement is weighted by its condition (essential and accidental dignity, combustion, retrograde motion, speed, and reception), analyzed house by house, and then summarized by an AI into a readable narrative. The quoted "chart signals" below are taken from that output.
Case B: Vincent van Gogh, "The Artist"
The anonymized profile showed the ruler of the 1st in the 6th house (identity defined through work and service), a cluster of planets in the 10th (a public creative vocation), and an afflicted Moon in the 1st (emotional and health sensitivity).

The anonymized profile showed the ruler of the 1st in the 10th (identity fused with career and reputation), the Sun and North Node under pressure in the 10th, a strong 11th house (alliance-building), and Mars in the 12th (hidden conflicts).

The anonymized profile emphasized the Sun in the 11th (leadership through coalitions), Mars and Saturn in the 9th (ideological and international friction), a Venus–Saturn square (legal and relational restraint), and a strong Mercury with the Moon in the 10th (a career built on communication).

What these case studies do and do not show
- They are retrospective. The subjects are famous and their lives were known before the charts were read, so matches are easy to find after the fact.
- The signals are broad. Phrases such as "visibility under stress" or "alliances carry strain" can fit many public figures; specificity is in the eye of the reader.
- They are not tests. No predictions were made in advance and no comparison charts were scored. For a closer attempt at testing, and its limits, see the blind chart reading experiments.
- They are not assessments of people. Trait Profiles describe symbolic tendencies in a chart. They are not psychological, medical, or moral evaluations, and they should never be used to judge or diagnose anyone, living or historical.
